Like so many women of a similar age, my skin has changed in the past decade. Menopause, combined with the ageing process, stress and declining collagen, elastin and oestrogen levels, means my skin is needing more help to stay looking healthy.
And that for me is key. I can’t have younger skin or anti-age, but I can keep my skin as healthy as possible. I am lucky, I’m often sent some great products to trial, but they aren’t always exactly what my skin needs. An appointment was made for my free virtual consultation with Sonya by Zoom. During our 30 minutes together, Sonya asked me about my skin concerns, condition, skin type and which skincare products I really like to use. She asked me what my routine was currently and whether I was happy to layer products for maximum benefit.
I appreciated that Sonya wanted to know whether I preferred a balm, cream or wash off cleanser. What SPF products I currently use and if I use them daily. And if I had a Retinol product in my routine. I realised while we were chatting, Sonya was building a picture of my skin, how it behaves and how I like to care for it.
It was only at the end of the consultation did Sonya mention products suitable for my skin and lifestyle. She was keen to explain that I don’t need to change my routine but to enhance it. I could add in products that I didn’t already have or replace ones that I was finishing. And there was no need to buy all the products at once, I could keep my treatment plan and purchase the products as and when I needed them.
Following my consultation, Sonya advised me that a treatment plan would be emailed over to me.
I was then under no obligation to order or purchase any or all the products. I could pick and choose the ones that would fit into my routine or that I needed straight away.
