It can’t have escaped your notice that the current fashion is to have well defined brows and long curled lashes. As you get older and features lose definition, a little more colour to brows and length to lashes help to frame the face, enhance your eyes and gives a more youthful appearance.
The trick is to get a stronger brow without going over the top, and for that you need to call in the expert. Amita Patel is known for creating some of the most beautiful brows and lashes. She has perfected a treatment which lifts the features with an eye opening lash lift and tint and an massage technique to lift and tone the eye area naturally.
I went to visit Amita at Four London, the beautiful salon located just off Regent Street in the heart of London’s most stylish shopping district. I was booked to have Amita’s signature treatment The Instant Eye Lift. This comprises of a lash lift and tint, brow shaping and youth enhancing massage.
I have to admit I was a little nervous. Thankfully I didn’t over pluck my eyebrows when I was younger, so they are reasonably thick and I have been keeping them in check since I was about 13, but no one else has ever touched them.
My fears were immediately put aside when Amita looked at my brows and stated that she would like to tidy rather than reshape them, as they suited me and a softer brow is more flattering to an older woman.
Once I was comfortable in the chair and removing the little eye makeup I had on, Amita, placed cooling eye pads under my lower lashes and shields on my upper lashes before gently curling them. The method creates a very natural looking sweep, far nicer than you could ever get with eyelash curlers and lasts for up to 6 weeks. With a hint of tint the lashes immediately look like you have mascara on!

Moving onto my brows, Amita created a neater line under the brow and a tidy arch above, she then ran a little colour thorough to add more definition. Then came the heavenly ancient eastern massage technique which helps to lift tone and drain the eye area. Afterwards your brow appears to have been raised slightly and your eyes look wide open and lines appear much softer.
The before and after shots shows quite a remarkable difference to the length of my lashes as well as how open my eyes appear.
I had the treatment just before going on holiday when I was staying on a boat, it couldn’t have been better timing. I didn’t need brow pencils or powders and I also didn’t need to apply mascara every day.
