Your hair is dead

Sadly this is the truth; every hair on your head is technically dead, although the follicle is still alive.  Hair is nonessential tissue, it’s the last to access any of the nutrients you ingest and menopause has a nasty way of making a bad situation worse.  Although menopause affects us all differently, one thing that is consistent is it always manages to affect our hair.  Much of our femininity is tied up with our looks and hair, so to have it thinning, shedding or lifeless can be a real knock to our confidence and self-esteem.

As we age our hair starts to thin, becomes drier, brittle and coarse as it loses melanin and turns grey, which makes it more difficult to manage.  Just as our collagen levels deplete so do our keratin supplies, which is the fibrous protein that renders hair strong and healthy, the strands become porous, prone to breakage and the hair shaft appears skinny.  Using powerful styling tools zap moisture and add to the assault on our hair.  We are then left with unhappy hormonal hair.

According to a recent survey, women believe that their teens were a style low point when their hair looked at its worst, but style mishaps aside youthful locks are what women want with lack of volume and shine and grey hairs sited as their biggest ageing hair complaints.

The clever people at Nurture Replenish know a thing or two about the effects of hormonal change to the hair and have developed a range of hair products that will address all of our most serious worries associated with ageing hair.

Nurture Replenish Full Volume Shampoo and Nourishing Care Conditioner

Designed solely with mature hair in mind these moisturising and conditioning products really do help to enhance the body and hydration levels of lacklustre hair.

Packed with phytoestrogens to help provide moisture and volume, Vitamin B5 and C plus keratin to strengthen, wheat germ oil and Vitamin E help protect from colour and heat damage and apricot kernel oil to increase shine.

I have been using Nurture Replenish Full Volume Shampoo and Nourishing Care Conditioner for the past few months and I have been really pleased with the results.  My hair is more manageable, less flyaway and generally feels in much better condition, the ends feel moisturised and not in the least bit dry.  It has more bounce and appears shiny.  A good test of a product for me is whether I use it up, sometimes I am seduced away by another more seductive product; I get bored or just don’t think a product is doing what it says on the tin.  If I tell you I am on my third tube it will give you an idea how well this product is working for me.

So if you want to give your unhappy hormonal hair a makeover try this shampoo and conditioner, and best of all they are inexpensive and you only need to use a small amount to get good results.
