I’m starting week two of the Philips ReAura test.

The redness from the first session had gone by the following morning and the only sign of having used the laser, was a very slight redness on the temples.  I’m not sure anyone else would have noticed this, but I’ve been scrutinising my face!

The second treatment took a little less time than the first, once I had got the hang of moving slowly with slight pressure, the unit hummed contently and I was finished in less than half an hour.

The slight redness faded quicker this time and so did the tingling sensation.  The following morning there wasn’t any sign of having used the laser.  The only dryness I’ve noticed was just at the side of my nose, the rest of my skin hasn’t been dry at all.

The Aftercare Complex is keeping my skin hydrated when I’ve used it straight after treatment, and my skin hasn’t been any more sensitive than usual.  I’ve had no reaction using my usual routine, or products.

I haven’t had any breakouts either, so absolutely no down time at all; I’ve been using La Roche-Posay Anthelios factor 50+ suncare when I leave the house, as you really do need to protect your skin from the sun during treatment.

The third session has taken slightly less time again and I’m really enjoying using the Philips ReAura, it’s so satisfying and quite relaxing gliding the unit over your skin.  As I’ve spent so little time on myself recently it’s nice to take the time out to indulge in a treatment that you know is going to improve your skin.

This time there is much less redness after the treatment and the tingling sensations are barely noticeable.  The treatment time felt less as well although I forgot to time it.

It’s quite hard to show accurate photographs of my skin before the start of the trial but I’ve included some so you can see my skin wasn’t in very bad condition, but there are sun spots and a few fine lines.  My skin has benefited from having never smoked and not being that keen on sunbathing, in addition to this I do take Collagen Shots and Pure Pharma Omega-3 which really help to keep the skin hydrated.

Philips have recently withdrawn this product from sale in the UK
