Until I tried Studio 10, I can honestly say that I haven’t been this excited by makeup since I was a teenager. In recent years I’ve focussed more on skincare than makeup, trying hard to diffuse the signs of ageing and working to create a better canvas. Not only has time moved on (and how!) since I was a teenager, so have colour cosmetics. Over a year ago I was introduced to Grace Fodor, a beauty entrepreneur, wife and mother. The first time we met we talked about which products would be in our ideal range of makeup for older women. We wanted a product that gave us back the youthful glow that younger skin has, a clever palette of colour correcting creams to hide those late nights, broken capillaries, and the odd hormonal outbreak. A foundation that was light in texture, while still giving good coverage and one that would be working to protect skin while you wore it. A blusher that would give that pretty flush those younger women have, that we find so hard to recreate. Studio 10 – the products
The range contains skin protecting ingredients such as Suberlift, a clinically proven botanical instant tensor that provides a ‘lift’ and firms the skin as well as toning and smoothing. Nyamplung Oil, an Indonesian certified organic oil extracted from the almonds of the Calophyllum Inophyllum known for its soothing, regenerating and healing properties and Hyaluronic Acid to help moisturise, hydrate, plump and soften skin, while minimising the appearance of wrinkles.
Consisting of eight essential products, four of these are slim elegant palletes containing just the right amount of product to enhance, correct, minimise and disguise.
Youth Lift Glow-Plexion £24
Prepping skin with Glow-Plexion will give an instant youthful and radiant lift to the complexion, leaving skin glowing. Ultra long-lasting, creamy lightweight formula is enriched with Suberlift, Hyaluronic Acid and vitamin C and E.
Age Reverse Perfect Canvas £34
Available in Light, Medium and Dark
Forget anything you have ever thought about compact foundations, this is nothing like you’ve used before, it’s sheer, reflects light, colour adjusts to your skin tone, is ultra lightweight yet covers well. The palette contains two shades to mix and match, for contouring and to adapt to the changing seasons. I find this product an absolute joy to use; it leaves a dewy radiant glow to skin, evening skin tone and covering imperfections. There’s the added bonus of the skin enhancing ingredients mentioned before and with SPF 30 this product works all year round. Amazingly my skin looks better at the end of the day than the start when I use this product.
Age Defy Skin Perfector £32

Carry all your trouble shooting products in one handy palette, the Age Defy Skin Perfector contains a primer for fine lines and enlarged pores, essential colour correctors to correct redness or under eye circles and two concealer shades for a perfect colour match.
Visible Lift I-Definer £32
Eyes often show the first signs of ageing and with Visible Lift I Definer you have everything in one place to tackle these signs. The kit contains a primer, four sculpting shadows. These will neutralise, contour, highlight and define. All blendable and long lasting, they are formulated with emollient powders that are rich in pigment, and the nude shade is one of the best I’ve ever used.
Visible Lift Face Definer £30
Look and feel instantly younger with this innovative all-in-one ‘makeup facelift’ kit. This kit contains a sculpting powder to define and shape the face, sheer crème blusher for a youthful flush and highlighter to lift. Enriched with the face saving and healing ingredients this product goes on working throughout the day.
I-Lift Longwear Liner £22
Five ultra creamy smudge and waterproof pencils in a range of eye enhancing colours, two are paired with a nude colour to bring eyes alive and brighten and highlight.
Brow Lift Perfecting Liner £22
Define and frame your face with an instant brow lift. This colour works perfectly to disguise my thinning eyebrows and fill in any missing gaps; it’s soft and not at all obvious.
Age Reverse Perfecting Lipliner £22
Define, shape and create more youthful lips instantly. Double ended with natural lip shade and nude tone liner to enhance. For someone who never did like lipliner, I am completely in love with this product, at last I can keep colour on my lips throughout the day. I line and fill with this pencil and then top with lipstick. A must have for every older woman as we all lose definition and colour to our lips.
Professional Makeup Brushes
Five professional quality double ended brushes make applying the Studio 10 products incredibly easy. The double ends save on space and money. Until recently I hadn’t appreciated just what a different finish you get applying makeup with really good quality brushes, made especially for specific arrears of the face. Using the right makeup really can make you look and feel younger, and there is no doubt that I feel more confident when I’m wearing it. I’ve found the Studio 10 range really easy to use, I haven’t used the sculpting techniques on a daily basis, I’ve just applied the makeup conventionally, and the products make me look a much better version of me – me on a good day! My hero products are the Age Reverse Perfect Canvas, the Visible Lift Face Definer as the blusher is so good, the Age Reverse Perfecting Lipliner I will never be without and the brushes are amazing. All the pencils apply well and are long lasting.
