How do you buy beauty products? 

Under pressure at a beauty counter?  Shopping online and taking a gamble?  Or just sticking to the same products and brands day in day out?

We all love beauty products but many of us find shopping for them an overwhelming and joyless experience.  MyShowcase aims to change that.

Nancy Cruickshank & Kate Shapland founded MyShowcase because they believe that buying and discovering beauty products should be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.

Theirs is an entirely new concept in beauty retail.  Think Avon meets Space NK, but with a passion for supporting female entrepreneurs in building or expanding their businesses – be it a brand or as a Stylist.  MyShowcase sells 20+ brands via a network of Stylists.  The brands are not widely available on the UK high street, each has an amazing story to tell and MyShowcase believe the founders of these independent brands need to be championed.  Some of the brands are better known than others – for example Balance Me, Blink, T Leclerc and Neom. Others, like Beatitude, Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Ruth Mastenbroek, Sage LA and Antonia Burrell, have smaller profiles.

Stylists are women who want to work, but flexibly on their terms. They organise events (largely in homes, but in offices too) where they showcase the brands. Customers can buy at these events and also via the website MyShowcase where sales are linked back to the introductory Stylist.

Customers attend showcases and shop with their friends.  It’s a fun, sociable and unpressurised way to buy beauty products.  Key to the experience is that customers discover new brands via honest and reliable feedback from Stylists and their friends in the comfort and privacy of home.  Stylists tell the stories behind the brands, explaining the benefits and uniqueness of each.  Many customers attend regular showcases as their beauty supplies run low, new collections are launched and new brands are sourced.  MyShowcase is constantly evolving to recruit new Stylists and brands.

Showcases are the ultimate way to get together with friends to discover and buy beauty products.
