Walking into the Victorian Quarter in Leeds I was intrigued by a brand new fragrance.

Harvey Nichols was promoting the latest fragrance from Balenciaga, Florabotanica.  It’s hard to identify the composition as it includes such notes as Mint, Carnation, Hybrid Rose, Caladium leaf, Amber and Vetiver, all housed in a 80s style bottle.

Although floral this fragrance is seductive and mysterious rather than country garden. The advertising campaign features Kristen Stewart so they are obviously aiming at a younger market. The name is lacking in imagination but the fragrance is pleasant, has good staying power and reminds me of summer, which can’t be all bad.  Harvey Nichols has the smallest and largest bottle exclusively.  The range includes Eau de Parfum, Shower Gel and Body Lotion.
