It’s great to be welcoming Nikki Taylor back to Fighting Fifty and hearing more about the products she’s using this summer.  As always, we could have spent hours talking about the different brands and products that we have been enjoying, but we have tried to keep this video a little more concise!

The products featured in the video are:

Beauty Pie

Nikki kicks off with two products she’s been using from Beauty Pie, the luxury beauty membership scheme created by Marcia Kilgore.

The first, Superdrops, is a hydration boosting, skin plumping, moisturising serum.  The serum has hyaluronic acid, stem cells and an extract from black oat that soothes and has excellent water retaining properties.  It’s suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin.

Beauty Pie Superdrops High Intensity Hydration * 30ml members pay £9.05 available from Beauty Pie

The second Beauty Pie product is the QI Energy, and eye cream packed with powerful ingredients to reduce dark circles and detoxify the eye area. Ginseng root and ginger help increase drainage and reduce the appearance of redness.

Beauty Pie QI Energy * 15ml members pay £6.84 available from Beauty Pie

REN Clean Skincare

Clearcalm Non-Drying Spot Treatment.  If ever a product did what it says on the tin, the Clearcalm Spot Treatment does!  Formulated with willow bark, a naturally derived precursor to salicylic acid, maritime pine and thyme complex, and prebiotic chlorella extract.  The clear lotion is gentle on blemishes and the surrounding skin.  It reduces spot size whilst also reducing redness.  The skin stays hydrated, and the prebiotic helps to rebalance the skin.  Topped with a 100% recycled plastic cap and a tube made from 50% recycled plastic, the Clearcalm Non-Drying Spot Cream is kind to your skin and the environment.  Win, win.

REN Clearcalm Non-Drying Spot Treatment* 15ml £15.00 available from REN

Pat McGrath Labs

Pat McGrath Labs has recently launched in Selfridges and Nikki was almost first in line to snap up the Sublime Perfection Foundation.  Created to give a silky, luxurious and weightless finish, the foundation has a Vita-Serum Complex that nourishes and helps keep wrinkles at bay.  The formulation also helps activate natural collagen production.

Pat McGrath Sublime Perfection Foundation 35ml £60.00 available from Selfridges

The second Pat McGrath product that Nikki bought was the Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Setting Powder. Created to have a barely-there feel, with soft focus effects to blur fine lines and imperfections.  The lighter-than-air loose powder can be layered for buildable coverage.

Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Setting Powder 5g £50.00 available from Selfridges

Tweezerfile

If you’ve seen our videos before, you’ll know how clumsy I am.  I’m forever dropping tweezers or using them for something other than plucking hairs.  Oh, you know, undoing plugs, that sort of thing.  Well, now thankfully there is a really clever gadget to resharpen damaged or blunt tweezers, called Tweezerfile.  Not to be mistaken (as Nikki was) by Tweezerman, it’s a completely different company.  Tweezerfile very quickly files pointed tweezers to a sharp point and flat tweezers to smooth surface.  In my opinion it’s worth every penny!

Tweezerfile £12.99 available from Tweezerfile and *Amazon

Nip+Fab

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Body Cream, a moisturising and refining body lotion to aid cell turnover.  The powerful salicylic and lactic acids work to naturally exfoliate the skin, while retexturizing it.  This leaves skin smoother and brighter.

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Body Cream* 200ml £6.95 currently only available from Amazon but the product is being repackaged

If you can’t get hold of the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Body Cream, then try Nikki’s suggestion of using one of your single acid stash mixed with a simple body moisturiser such as Nivea.  Nikki uses The Ordinary Lactic Acid with Hyaluronic Acid, it’s available in both 5% and 10% strengths.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid + HA* 30ml 5% £5.50 – 10% £5.80 available from The Ordinary

Kaplan MD

Created by Beverley Hills Dermatologist, Stuart Kaplan MD, the Perfect Pout Lipstick contains the brand’s signature 22 organic ingredients.  The hydrating lip treatment has an SPF 30 to protect against sun damage, patented Maxi-Lip peptide and Hyaluronic Filling Spheres to naturally plump the lips.  Perfect Pout is available in 7 different shades as well as clear.

Kaplan MD Perfect Pout Lipstick £30.00 available from Kaplan MD
